BEFORE THE SPEED INTERVIEWS

Step 1: Register online. Early Bird registrations close on Spetember 23 at 5pm. Get in early to ensure your place in the program and go in the draw to win a $150 Red Balloon voucher.  Final registrations close on October 7. You must attach your CV

Step 2: You will receive an automated response advising you that your application has been received.

Step 3: You will be notified by email if you have been allocated an interview

• You will be allocated an interview time. ALL INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 20 OCTOBER.
• Every attempt will be made to allocate students their first preference for session times, however, this may not always be possible
• You will be advised where to go on the day.
• All interviews will be held in Building 11

THE INTERVIEW

Step 1: Register at the commencement of your session

Step 2: You will receive a nametag with your interview circle colour and seating    number.  For example, if you are allocated to red circle seat four, you will then start at seat number four and move around the eight alumni interviewers. There will be five coloured interview circles.

Step 3: Attend a briefing session which will cover how your speed interview experience will be run as well as some interview tips from the UOW Careers Central.

Step 4: You will then be ushered to your interview circle and commence your speed interviewing experience!

Step 5: Your interviewer will ask you a common interview question and you will answer as if you are in a real interview situation. The alumni will give you feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of your answer and will offer advice on how to better answer questions like this in future.

Step 6: A bell will sound every ten minutes and you will be required to move on to the next interviewer.

Step 7: After you have moved around all eight interviewers your speed interviewing experience will be complete!

AFTER THE INTERVIEW

• A networking function will be held at the completion of the day (from approximately 6.00pm). All participating alumni and students will be invited to come along, have some light refreshments and meet your fellow students and alumni in a relaxed environment. The 14 winners will be announced at this function
• You will be emailed an evaluation form, which you will need to complete and return
