What is Speed Interviewing?
Speed interviewing is a method of recruitment that can be used to interview large numbers of candidates for positions within a variety of organisations. It is similar in nature to a speed networking format.
For this program UOW alumni (graduates) will be the interviewers. Students will have a limited amount of time with each interviewer. Students move around to each alumnus, answer the question they are asked, and then receive immediate feedback on their performance.
Alumni will provide students with tips on how to respond to these types of questions in a real interview situation, before students move on to the next interviewer and a different question.
You will meet with eight students in each session, 16 students in total. You will ask the same question to each student in each session. Your interview question will change in the second session. The Alumni Office will provide you with the questions.
Alumni will be required to rank each student’s interview performance out of 10. The seven students from each of the two sessions with the highest scores will receive a prize at the networking function at the end of the day.
